Samir Popal, Treasurer

Samir Popal is the executive Director of New Horizons in Autism, Inc. which is a human service organization founded in 1980 providing supports and housing to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in the state of New Jersey across three counties With over 400 employees in 22 physical locations. 

 

Samir is a two-time graduate of Kean University with masters in public administration, married, with two children living in South Jersey. 

 

Samir is also a partner of  Full Potential  in Autism Inc consulting group which provides consulting services to other nonprofit organizations across New Jersey in the areas of human services housing and other topics related to the disability community. 

 

Being that Samir also holds an accounting degree, he has been serving as the treasurer for the organization for the past two years and continues to do so.

Chrissy Keys, Co-Director of Events

Chrissy Keys, a REALTOR-Associate at RE/MAX Revolution, prides herself on her interpersonal skills when it comes to matching a client with their new home.

 

With a previous career in the Mental health sector, Chrissy has an innate desire to help those in need along with the emotional capacity to pair a client with their dream home. As a self proclaimed “architect of people and relationships”, Chrissy prides herself on truly listening to her clients to deliver the best service for everyone involved. 

 

Chrissy’s background in education and the mental health care industry is a unique yet effective method in applying the utmost passion for her clients and can-do attitude that gets the hard parts done. Anthony Rosa, Director of Membership

Over the course of the last decade, Anthony’s area of focus has been one on one personal /
professional financial development. As a Hudson County NJ native, he has devoted his life to
sharing his story on how he transitioned from the oppression of urban restrictions rising up to
the challenge to now be hands-on in the same community he grew up in.
At a young age, Anthony knew he wanted to help the community. Growing up in a single
parent home, Anthony spent his time playing sports. Sports saved his life! Teaching him
discipline, hard work, & the importance of being a team player. 
Values and beliefs he still practices today. Sports actually gave him the opportunity to continue his education at Saint Peter's University. In 2022 he began his first year coaching as a Varsity Football Coach for the North Bergen High School. Go Bruins! With his passion and dedication to Inspire, Connect, & Educate, Anthony finds himself creating local business networks in an attempt to bridge the gap between business and the people that live in them. Anthony enjoys spending time with his five children, climbing mountain trails, trying new restaurants and being outdoors as much as he can meeting new people. Anthony is currently the President of the Rutherford Rotary Club, serves as a Board member for the Latino Chamber of Commerce and is the Interim VP for the Passaic Head Start. He spends most of his days working as a finance coach teaching financial literacy. His desire in 2024 is to increase the national credit average, continue to build out his program around workforce development and spend quality time with his family.. His go-to quote is by the philosopher Confucius, “If the goal can not be reached, do not adjust the goal, adjust the action steps.”

George Rocha, Director of Government Affairs

George Rocha, born and raised in Yonkers, NY, now calls Clark, NJ, home. With 15 years of firefighting experience in Yonkers, he embodies courage and selflessness. George's commitment to community extends beyond duty, evident in his leadership roles within the International Association of Firefighters Local 628. Serving as Vice President for nine years before becoming President in 2021, he advocates for firefighter welfare. Additionally, George is a Realtor Associate at Signature Realty NJ, known for his integrity and dedication to clients. With over five years of experience, he helps clients find their dream homes. George actively supports charitable organizations, impacting numerous lives. Whether through firefighting, real estate, or community service, George Rocha inspires and empowers those around him.
